Scott Gerner and the Houston Team participated in the annual Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) BBQ & Wild Game Cookoff on November 8th. Despite the weather being drab, the “Movies of the 80s” event was totally rad with over 1,000 people coming and going throughout the day.
The Burgess Team enjoyed tricking out the “Burgess to the Future” booth with references to the 80s hit film series Back to the Future. The DeLorean time machine quickly stole the show as attendees scrambled to get pictures before it whisked away back to Hill Valley.
The Burgess Master Smokers worked tirelessly throughout the cold, wet night to prepare a host of items including pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs and oysters. It was time well spent!
We would like to thank the GHBA for putting on another successful and enjoyable event for all involved and we can’t wait until next year! Luckily, we’re only 88 mph away!
